Foto Finish - Birds

It is election night for us and it appears that the incumbant National Party will get back in very comfotably this time.

While we have been watching the election results on television tonight I have beemn playing with images in a programme which I think is called Be Funky. This seabird was photographed earlier this year in Takapuna where we went to buy a new boat.

My 12 x 12 quilt for a swap for 15 mins play is on its way to its recipient. This has been fun creating something out of scraps.

Foto Finish - Two Colours

There are predominantly only two colours in this photo taken on a trip to see the twelve apostles on the South Australia coast. I was going to crop out the sea with the small amount of white but thought it would spoil the image.

Foto Finish -Pets

For this weeks subject I have had to borrow a photo from my son and daughter-in-laws photos which are stored on my computer. So technically not one of my own photos but gorgeous anyway. This is my beautiful granddaughter Olivia and one of their pet cats.

We haven't had a cat for a few years now and after searching my photos I cant even find a photo I have taken of any of my grandchildren with one of their cats.

Foto Finish - Photographers Choice

For this week I have gone back to the fabulous holiday we recently had with my sister in Bali.

We have both ended up having surgery on legs this week. I have had an ACL reconstruction and partial meniscus repair in my knee. This is a result of an old netball injury which I recently reinjured. My sister works in aged care in Perth, Western Australia. On Tuesday they were having wheelchair races pushing their clients as part of Melbourne Cup day (a big horse race that is closely followed each year in both Australia and New Zealand). One of the other participants ran into the back of my sister and sliced her leg open -damaging a tendon in her foot. We are so far apart - I wish I could go and look after her but that is not to be.

Back to my photo -I really love how water lillies glow when they are photographed.
