Things That Are Round For Foto Finish
I have missed the last couple of weeks of Foto Finish as I have been at our bach for the last two weekends. We dont even have a phone line so obviously no internet connection. This photo of bubbles in the river was taken during one of those weekends.

Hoochy Mama Flowers
I am having fun creating hoochy mama flowers out of one of Mary Lou Weidmans books. I cant wait to see this garden grow. The beauty of this type of patchwork is that there are no rules. I have created some other diffrent size and shape flowers from my scraps but they dont have stems yet although they will not all get stems. I am hoping to include a couple of left over blocks from a block lotto project as well. There will also be some hoochy critters in this garden (bugs, butterflies and birds).

Ducks On The Mokau River
These two ducks were swimming around on the river yesterday. Unfortunately they didn't come close so I had to photograph them from a distance. I love how the water has turned out in these images.
Old For Foto Finish
I think I am destined to be either first or last to post on Foto Finish at Cat Patches. If I am at home on Saturday evening Barbara's post for Foto Finish appears around 2030 or 2130 depending on whether we have daylight saving or not. Normally I am sitting in my lounge at that time periodically checking on blog entries. However once again I have been away to our holiday home for the weekend. We are in the middle of the whitebait season so spend quite alot of time sitting on the river side waiting to lift our nets and see what we have caught. I spend this time catching up on reading but also have my camera with me and end up snapping all sorts of images - the beauty of digital photography - they can always be deleted.
This photo was taken yesterday in our riverside shelter. I think these cobwebs qualify for old - I think they have been there for a long time.

Flower Pot 2
This little mini quilt is made from some of my made pieces of fabric. It is 11" x 8.5".
I am using these small pieces to practice my quilting.

Thank you Mignon
Several months ago when I joined Inglewood Quilters group I met a wonderful quilter called Mignon. Unfortunately she was due to move back to her home in Australia. I bought several pieces of fabric from her - she apparenly had an enormous stash of beautiful fabrics which she was trying to reduce before the move. When she heard that I liked playing with scraps she gave me a couple of large bags which included unused blocks she had made. I played with these and added several more made out of the scraps and this is the result. It is a lovely cheerful quilt. I used a piece of fabric that I had purchased from Mignon to bind the quilt.

Feet For Foto Finish
This weeks topic on Foto Finish is feet.
These two images were taken last year when we were taking our two oldest granddaughters for a walk along the breakwater.
