Things That Fly

 

This weeks topic for Foto Finish is "Things That Fly". This photo was taken when we were out fishing in our boat last summer. While I am waiting for the fish to bite I like to take photos of birds that hang around the boat.

We haven't been out fishing for awhile now.
We are having a wet, windy and cold winter although today wasn't too bad after a very cold start. The next few days are expected to be better.

Summer Fun

 

 

 

As we are in the grips of a winter storm at the moment - strong winds, lots of rain and cold - I had to dig back to a previous summer. These photos show two of my granddaughters collecting treasures and playing with them at a small beach accessed from my brother's holiday house. We were there for a family get together when my sister was visiting from Western Australia.

We will soon be escaping this dreadful weather for a couple of weeks. We are of to Bali in just under two weeks to meet this same sister and spend 10 days or so in the sun.

Liberated Rose Quilt

 

 

 

I have been participating in Block Lotto for almost a year. I was delighted to win these beautiful liberated rose blocks in my second month. I have recently had my second win-another flower related block(modern clover). I am looking forward to creating another lovely quilt.
